SNHL and the Shaler Garden Club announced the winners of the 2023 Great Gardens Contest Winners at the Club’s annual meeting and flower arranging program with the amazing Mark, owner of Z Florist at the library. The contest team consisted of Kathy, Elaine, Pat and Sharon. Eight gardens were rated based on the following metrics: plant variety, visual appearance, sustainability, hardscape and submission of a written story. As the result, 2 gardens tied for Third Place, 1 garden was awarded Second Place and 2 gardens tied for First Place.
