Join members of the Pittsburgh Collage Collective on Saturday, July 15 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, for the opening of this exhibition coordinated with Berkeley Commonplace, a community arts organization out of Berkeley, CA, producer of the annual Round Table Collaboration Postal Collage Project. Nearly 90 hand-cut collages will be on display at Shaler North Hills Library, and there will be collage-making opportunities for the public, with tools, supplies, and materials provided.
Founded in July 2021, the Pittsburgh Collage Collective (PCC) is a community of collage artists in Greater Pittsburgh established to create and share related art forms, and to provide opportunities for workshops, events, and exhibitions. The group has over 160 members from around the world, with monthly local “meet-ups” to create collage and mixed media art, and three exhibitions to date.
The show runs Saturday, July 15 through Thursday, August 17 during Library hours (subject to room availability around library programs.)
