Friends of the Library
Who are the Friends?
Friends of the Shaler North Hills Library is a non-profit organization
whose sole purpose is to support the Township Library. The Friends do this
through fund-raising and volunteer activities. Proceeds support library programs
as well as pay for supplies and equipment that the library couldn't otherwise afford. New members are welcome at any time.
What do the Friends do?
- Collect, sort, and store books donated for the Semi-Annual Book Sales
- Set up and conduct the Book Sale (October and May)
- Encourage financial support of the library by recruiting new Friends and collecting annual dues from current Friends
- Conduct fundraising activities throughout the year to raise money for the library
- Support the Library staff during special events
- Assist Library staff with daily activities through volunteer work

Print out the Membership Form, or on your next library visit, pick up a membership form at the circulation
desk. Complete the form and return it with a check to the library.
